Bass street Because of the size of Los Angeles, a lot of its culture seems to be based on movement. It is therefore natural that people also invest a fair bit of resources on vehicles and sound systems. Whereas the city supposedly has some regulations regarding noise pollution, nobody seems to care. By night, streets such as Sunset Blvd and Hollywood Blvd transform into chains of subwoofer air displacement on wheels.
Some car audio systems in LA were simply awe-inspiring. On my first day in LA, while waiting at an intersection, I was virtually kicked back by what appeared to be a powerful shockwave of some kind. For a moment, I was worried that it could have been caused by an earthquake. However, as the powerful sonic wave kept reappearing, I eventually realized that it originated from a small car on the other side of the intersection.
