Inside a New Minas mall

Arguably a fairly mundane motif, but therein lies its interest - it communicates just how global the shopping mall phenomenon is. Sure, it looks just like your local mall wherever you are from, but that's exactly my point. I mean, just think about it! The Nova Scotian architecture is different from any other place I've been to, but the malls look just the same over here than they look like in Adelaide, Australia, Chicago, USA, London Great Britain or even Helsinki, Finland!

This particular mall offered a wide selection of goods and services, ranging from inexpensive books (Bill Gates' 'Business @ The Speed Of Thought' is well worth buying at US $3 :-)) to inexpensive (by European standards at least) yet stylish clothing, to delicious A&W hamburgers. Good thing the A&W hamburger chain hasn't expanded to Finland, because it'd mean certain disaster for my waistline.
